SPIRITED AWAY directed by Hayao Miyazaki
Death; the only way we can enter the spirit world. One girl named Chihiro entered the spirit world without dying. Trying to get at their new house somewhere in Japan, his father took a shortcut through a dirt road in the woods. They then ended up in a tunnel, the entrance of the spirit world. Inside the spirit world, Chihiro learned courage, love and hard work.
A master filmmaker, Hayao Miyazaki, directed Spirited Away. Rumi Hiragi played the voice of Chihiro/Sen, the little girl who was lost in the spirit world ruled by gods and sorcerers. Haku is the boy who helped Chihiro get back to their world, he was voiced over by Miyu Irino. Yubaba is the owner of the bathhouse, where Sen worked, and one of the rulers of the spirit world., she was voiced over by Mari Natsuki. Kamaji, Bunta Sugawara, and Lin, Yumi Tama, also helped Sen in getting a job and taking her home.
The movie was hilarious and dramatic. The audience generally liked it because the movie made us thinks what will happen next. I agree on the main theme and purpose, to teach viewers courage and hard work. I have enriched my courage and hard work because the movie inspired me. I like the part where Sen is riding at the back of Haku (as a dragon) after they went to Zeniba. I like it because it shows hope. Hope for Haku to return to the normal world.
There is only one thing I dislike about the movie, the scene where they are going to the farm. From the bathhouse one should pass a beautiful garden. But as shown in the movie, the garden bushes became 3-D graphical. Cartoons are two-dimensional. I think the animator should not insert a three dimensional view. Even though there are some errors on drawing of the movie like the train that passed under the bridge, the camera angle are quite different to the train tracks, the movie was very enjoying.
